Dear Parents,
Thank you so much to Ms. Britton, Ms. David, Ms. Cummins, & Mr. Wolfe for volunteering their precious time to help our students with our magnet experiments and activities in the Panther Pete Lab. We couldn't do this without all the support from our parents--thank you, thank you, thank you...and on that note, let me invite anyone that has volunteered for anything this year to our Volunteer Appreciation Brunch on May 9th ~ 8:00 – 11:00. Tables and food will be set up outside the media center. We hope you can join us!
We will have our preview for the Spring Book Fair Tuesday morning, 5/3, Then next Tuesday, 5/10, will be our buying day. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SEND $ WITH YOUR CHILD THAT DAY SO THEY CAN BUY SOME BOOKS THEY LOVE TO READ OVER THE SUMMER.***Please see notes below about specific information in regards to the Book Fair.
Our FIELD DAY is 5/17/17 all day. FIELD DAY RAIN DATE 5/18/16. Please make sure your child wears their red New Prospect shirt on that day.
Our field trip is this Friday. Please make sure your child wears their red New Prospect shirt on that day, wears socks (for play area), & has a sack lunch (if they didn't purchase one from the cafeteria.
**New at the Book Fair….Please note that we cannot give refunds or returns, AND we will not give change from personal checks. For example, if a parent sends a child with a check for $20 to pay for books on the wish list, but the check total is more than the books wanted by the student, he/she may select another item that comes close to the check total. Any difference (or change left over) will be considered a “Donation” at the register.
**Please support our All for Books promotion, which allows us to give books to kids here at NP who can’t afford to buy books. We will have a Grade Level contest to see which group donates the most amount of money for these deserving kids. The winning grade level will earn a Pajama Day. Collection containers will be in the Media Center. Students may donate during their Preview and Buying times, or as permitted by their teacher. This contest is in lieu of our pencil game.
