Hello Wonderful Parents,
We begin testing the week we get back from spring break. We will spend this week reviewing to prepare them for this test. Don't forget your letters of encouragement for your child for Georgia Milestones. Please see my blog on my website for more details if you missed this: mslamaster.weebly.com. If you have this completed and want to send this in early I will take them and give them to your child the first day of testing.
Our spirit week will be from March 28th-April 1st. Below are the spirit days:
Monday: top off your score…hat day
Tuesday: tackle the test … sports jersey
Wednesday: knock the socks off the test….wacky sock day
Thursday: Lu-“wow” us with your scores! …. Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses and leis
Friday: Pajama Day-Rest for the test
In reading we began reviewing our skills and will continue to talk about test taking strategies in reading and review concepts from the year.
Results were sent home for Franklin Roosevelt assessment and other work last week. I will be sending home a quiz we took for Elhe eanor Roosevelt this week and we will begin Lyndon B. Johnson this week.
If you have Ms. Lamaster for math:
We reviewed our last unit assessment over geometry, measurement, & data. Several of the students asked to take this assessment home. I am happy to do this, but I have had difficulty getting these tests returned in the past. If you would like to see the test just email me and your child can send home their math binder which will have their last assessment in it.
This week we will be very busy reviewing for Georgia Milestones. The IXL homework reflects a review for the year, some of these may be a little difficult since we are going back to the beginning of the year with our review.
Homework:
Monday 3.2-A.13; 4.1-B.9
Wednesday 3.2-B.9; 4.1-G.6
Friday 3.2 C.15; 4.1-K.3
Have a wonderful week!
Laura Lamaster
