Hello Amazing Parents,
Happy Halloween! Students voted on their favorite pumpkins and student costumes last week.
We have library on Monday, so remind students to bring in any library books to return so they can get new books. Remember to have your child reading at least one story on RAZ kids/week. Book Fair is coming soon, so be thinking of what Scholastic books you would like to purchase. In reading we will have our unit 3 reading assessment next week. This will be over fables, folktales, myths, & fables. It will include determining central messages or lessons. We have also been studying plural & possessive nouns.
We started our economy unit. This also covers the geography skills of major mountains and rivers in the United States.
If you have Ms. Lamaster for math:
I am still in need of some empty tennis cans for a math activity.
We will have our Unit 2 math assessment next week. We will be reviewing the pretest/study guide in class and sending these home for your child to study. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SEND THESE BACK AFTER THE TEST SO STUDENTS CAN PUT THEM IN THEIR MATH DATA BINDERS.
Homework:
4th grade IXL--
Monday E.9
Wednesday E.10
Friday E.11
