Dear Wonderful Parents,
I am so pleased with how well the students did on their fossil test. These results were sent home last week. This week we will be studying Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony. They will have a quiz this week over Frederick Douglass and an assessment next week over Susan B. Anthony.
In reading & language arts we continue to study poetry and drama. We will have an assessment over this on Thursday. We continue to study verb tense, subject/verb agreement, regular and irregular verbs. Please make sure your child is caught up on their reading lessons that cover this. In our Book Club groups we continue to read Geronimo Stiltson and Read it to Believe it. The students are enjoying reading these exciting and entertaining books. Several of the groups will be reading a play this week and performing this for the class. Your child might be coming home wanting props or a costume...this is not a requirement. This play will be very low key, so don't stress if they come home asking about this.
In math we will continue to study fractions, measurement, decimals, and data. We will be having our assessment over this unit on Monday. We moved this back since we weren't able to meet on Friday. I will be sending home study guides this week for students to study. The assignment this week are:
Monday:
3.2-IXL 3rd grade U.16
4.1 IXL 4th grade T.5
Wednesday:
3.2-IXL 3rd grade U.3
4.1 IXL 4th grade U.1
Friday:
3.2-IXL 3rd grade U.21
4.1 IXL 4th grade U.2
Have a wonderful week!
