Hello Amazing Parents,
This week has been a struggle. My job is to teach your student to be successful and be the be the best person they can be. We have had several students that are continuing to not follow simple directions like not touching the walls (germs & ruins bulletin boards), not listening to directions, missing assignments, talking with friends and then complaining they don't have enough time to finish their project/assignment, and I could go on. I feel bad for the students that are following the rules. I do expect for students to pay attention and learn. This week just the simple rules were difficult for some to follow. I kept reminding students and eventually had to enforce a "you choose, I choose" rule: You choose to break the rules, I choose a consequence. This isn't the way I want to teach, but it has come to that point with some students. Please make sure your child is completing assignments, reading every night, and make sure they are following rules at home. Having chores and rules at homes helps students learn responsibility and will help them eventually with a career and life's work. I do appreciate all your hard work and effort to help your child be amazing!
