Good Morning Amazing Parents,
This week will be a little different. I have attached the lesson plans for the week for 2nd grade. Please be aware that this is a different week so things will look a little different. We have different activities, some writing, science, and reading. I will post all the activities under reading activities so you only have to go to one place to find the daily activities. I will still post our Good Morning video under 2nd grade (homeroom). I am working hard to finish our book, The One and Only Ivan before Friday.
We will start this week with Field Day. I have checked this out and it looks like a lot of fun! I can't wait to see the videos! Here is the link if you missed it in Mrs. Lemons email: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1wB8G_PCRip6daB1fqFm2LkZUp8ydQuJIZukRIsY18Z4/edit#slide=id.g8521ec3daf_0_175
We will have our Morning Meeting on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 of this week. On Thursday, please make sure your child has marker (or crayons), or something to draw with. We are going to try our hand at drawing together. We will also have our Class Party on Friday at 10:00. I think we all need to wear our cool summer sunglasses for our Class Party since we are getting ready for summer. Please remember the link to join these meetings is always posted on SeeSaw (under 2nd grade) just before the meeting.
This is the week to pick up your child's things at the school. Please make sure you do this because I have some surprises, their awards, art items, and other miscellaneous papers I had for the students. Here’s what you need to do to pick these items up:

- Print, or make, a sign like the one found here clearly (and ideally in marker) listing the name of each student and their homeroom teacher for whom you are picking up items. Place this sign in your passenger side window.
- Drive to the school and follow the signs to the bus lane.
- When you pull under the awning, pass any library books or school items you have to return to the volunteer that comes to your window. Please do not get out of your vehicle.
- Someone will place a number on your car and will communicate with staff inside the building.
- A staffer will bring your child’s bag of belongings to the car.
- If you have medications to pick up from the clinic (yes, these are limited to only the medications you dropped off for the clinic), you will need to drive around to the front of the building to the normal carpool lane and follow the directions of the staff there.
- That’s it. You are now officially on Summer Vacation (assuming your child has completed at least 70% of their remote learning assignments)
